June 3, Minsk /BELTA/. The State Committee for Standardization of Belarus has announced the "Best Quality Manager" competition for 2013. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the State Committee for Standardization.
An organization nominating its quality manager for the competition must submit an application and a set of established documents to the secretariat of the competition committee by September 1, 2013. Specialists and heads of quality management departments of enterprises of the republic of all forms of ownership, who have achieved significant results and have been working in this field for at least three years, can participate. A mandatory condition is the presence of a certified quality management system in the organization represented by the participant. Their personal contribution to the development of the management system is evaluated.
The purpose of this competition is to enhance the image of the quality manager profession, attract the attention of managers to personnel training in quality management, promote best practices in quality management, and facilitate their implementation among organizations in Belarus. In general, this will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of domestic products and services in foreign and domestic markets.
The competition is being announced in Belarus for the eighth time. Last year, five people became its winners. Re-participation in the competition is allowed no earlier than three years later. The secretariat of the competition committee is formed on the basis of the Belarusian State Institute for Standardization and Certification.-0-
