According to the Rules of Hunting and Game Management, from the first Saturday of April to the second Sunday of May, from 6 PM to 10 PM, hunting for male woodcock is open.

According to the Rules of Hunting and Game Management, from the first Saturday of April to the second Sunday of May, from 6 PM to 10 PM, hunting for male woodcock is open. The hunting method is by firearm from an ambush during the courtship flight. The use of smooth-bore hunting weapons with shot-loaded cartridges is permitted; for tracking and retrieving downed game, hunting dogs are allowed: terriers, dachshunds, pointers, spaniels, retrievers, water dogs.
