According to the Rules of Hunting and Game Management, from the second Saturday of March to the second Sunday of May, during daylight hours, except for the period from 11:00 to 18:00, shotgun hunting from ambush is permitted only from a hide with decoys, using a decoy duck(s) and/or a stuffed duck(s) and a call(s) for mallard, ferruginous pochard, tufted duck, garganey, and common teal.

According to the Rules of Hunting and Game Management, from the second Saturday of March to the second Sunday of May, during daylight hours, except for the period from 11:00 to 18:00, shotgun hunting from ambush is permitted only from a hide with decoys, using a decoy duck(s) and/or a stuffed duck(s) and a call(s) for mallard, ferruginous pochard, tufted duck, garganey, and common teal. The добыче (taking) of males (drakes) is permitted only if they have approached or landed near the decoy duck(s) or stuffed duck(s). The use of smooth-bore hunting weapons with cartridges loaded with shot is permitted; for tracking and retrieving downed game, hunting dogs are allowed: terriers, dachshunds, pointers, spaniels, retrievers, water dogs.
The total duration of the spring duck hunting season cannot exceed four weeks (28 calendar days). Specific dates for the spring goose hunting season within the specified date range are established by order or other decision of the hunting ground users before the start of the hunting season.
