To preserve the common perch and create favourable conditions for its reproduction, the ban on amateur fishing for perch in all fishing grounds of the Republic of Belarus, which began on April 15 and will be in effect until May 30, continues in accordance with the Rules of Fishery Management and Fishing.
When catching this fish during this period, citizens bear administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Article 15.35 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, which entails a fine of 20 to 50 base units with or without confiscation of the catching gear.
In addition, the damage caused to the environment will be calculated at a threefold rate, amounting to 18 base units for each individual caught, i.e., 3,780,000 rubles. If the damage caused to the environment exceeds 100 base units, criminal liability is incurred.
We would like to remind citizens who are not indifferent to the future of our nature that the Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora operates a "hotline" at 4-36-85, where violations of environmental legislation can be reported.
According to the Rules of Fishery Management and Fishing, the ban on catching common pike ended on April 26. This species of fish, like all other species, under the ban on catching all types of fish, can be caught using a single spinning rod equipped with an artificial lure, with a single, double, or treble hook, during daylight hours, without entering the water, and also from artificial structures listed in paragraph 7 of sub-paragraph 109.3 of paragraph 109 of the Rules of Fishery Management and Fishing.
