This follows from the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus of March 29, 2016 No. 257 "On some issues of maintaining state cadastres of fauna and flora", which was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal, BELTA reports.
The document approves the regulations on the procedure for maintaining state cadastres of fauna and flora and the use of their data.
The cadastres are electronic databases (state information resources "State Cadastre of Fauna" and "State Cadastre of Flora") placed on the internet, and are maintained with respect to fauna (flora) objects inhabiting (growing) within the territory of Belarus.
Cadastre data is used to provide state bodies, other organizations, and citizens with information about fauna and flora objects. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection is responsible for their maintenance.
The systematised cadastre data is of an open nature, except for information classified as state secrets by law or other information that is not subject to provision and dissemination in accordance with legislative acts, and is placed on the internet. In case the recipient of cadastre data uses it to create derivative information for commercial distribution, it is mandatory to indicate the cadastre as the source of information.
The resolution will enter into force on June 30, 2016.
