President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree introducing amendments to a number of decrees concerning youth policy: No. 367 "On Improving the Stimulation of Creative Work of Young Scientists" dated 11 August 2005, No. 425 "On Grants of the President of the Republic of Belarus in Science, Education, Healthcare, Culture" dated 13 September 2013, and No. 559 "On Certain Issues of State Support for the Public Association 'Belarusian Republican Youth Union'" dated 17 December 2012. In accordance with the document, the areas of use for the President of Belarus grants are being expanded. Alongside the fields of science, education, healthcare, and culture, grants will be provided in the area of youth policy – a total of up to 100 grants (up to 20 in each field: science, education, healthcare, culture, youth policy).
The composition of the Interdepartmental Commission for considering candidates for the award of scholarships of the President of Belarus to talented young scientists and the Republican Commission for considering candidates nominated for the award of grants of the President of Belarus in science, education, healthcare, and culture are also being updated.
The implementation of the decree will contribute to stimulating the promotion of youth projects and enhancing the role of young citizens in implementing state youth policy objectives.
