He stated this today at a press conference in Vitebsk, BELTA correspondent reports. Grigory Rapota noted that the CIS, EurAsEC, SCO, GUAM, and CSTO are currently in operation. "There are many structures. The search is ongoing for how states that have gained independence and are looking for their place in this world can better interact. There have been many hesitations and disputes about which model to develop along," said Grigory Rapota. The State Secretary emphasized that states should develop not according to someone else's models, but according to their own, taking into account their specifics. "It is very good that there are many integration associations. Life itself will weed out the unnecessary," said Grigory Rapota. He also noted that the CIS is a very good negotiation platform for states, and it is extremely important to preserve it. "I think that the Customs Union, which has already been formed and only needs to be filled with concrete content, and the Single Economic Space remain the most promising," said Grigory Rapota. At the same time, he noted that he does not see the need to create a single center for coordinating integration processes in the post-Soviet space. In Grigory Rapota's opinion, "it is impossible to fit everyone into one mold." All issues can be discussed on the CIS platform.
