A signaling complex was triggered at one of the border outposts of the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment on the Belarusian-Latvian border. Border guards took immediate measures to search for the unknown person near the state border. Latvian border guards were also informed about a possible violation of the state border. During the inspection of the area, border guards discovered the intruder's tracks. As a result of joint actions by Belarusian and Latvian border guards, a citizen of Ukraine, born in 1970, was detained near the border. During the investigation, it was established that the woman wanted to visit relatives in Latvia. In accordance with the legislation of Belarus, the violator was brought to justice for violating the state border in the form of a fine and expelled from the republic. -0-
