On September 7, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Mushroom pickers from Braslav district will compete with their baskets, BELTA was informed by the Braslav District Executive Committee. The mushroom competition will take place on September 10 in the Ratsky Bor forest area. Participants include about 10 representatives of various enterprises and organizations of the district, as well as anyone who wishes to participate, as the competition is open. Creative amateur groups will accompany the mushroom pickers in their search for forest treasures with songs and chastushkas. Contestants will have three hours to find the largest and smallest edible mushrooms, and to collect the most porcini mushrooms. The jury will also recognise the luckiest mushroom pickers among women and men. In addition, winners competing in the team event will receive awards. While the jury members are deliberating, the competition participants will be able to relax and watch the district round of the "Master of the Village" competition, featuring 8 young families from the district. In the fight for the honorary title, parents will have to sing and dance, compete in the mowers' and woodcutters' contests, seed sorting, and a sports relay race, while the younger family members will draw pictures and support their teams. The awarding ceremony for the best mushroom pickers and "Masters of the Village" of Braslav district will take place upon completion of all competitions.
