A large consignment of meat has been detained in the Verkhnedvinsk district, the information and public relations department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. On the Verkhnedvinsk-Sharkovshchina highway near Verkhnedvinsk, employees of the Miory and Verkhnedvinsk District Departments of Internal Affairs detained a Mercedes vehicle driven by an unemployed resident of the urban settlement of Sharkovshchina, born in 1984, who was transporting 4.1 tons of beef without the appropriate documents. The value of the consignment is Br186.5 million. The vehicle and the consignment have been detained. An investigation is underway.
