5 January, Minsk /BELTA/. The State Customs Committee of Belarus is extending the operation of its hotline on issues related to changes in the forms of transit declarations and goods declarations, as well as the classifiers used for their completion, until 14 January. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the SCC. This measure has been taken due to the large number of inquiries received on this topic, the committee noted. Previously, the hotline was scheduled to operate from 1 to 6 January 2011; this period has now been extended until 14 January. By calling the multi-channel telephone number +375-17-219-41-00, foreign economic entities can receive answers to questions related to the procedure for customs declaration and release of goods. In addition, RUP "Beltamozhservice" has also organised a hotline on issues related to working with the "Declarer" automated system software. It is recalled that from 1 January 2011, new forms of goods and transit declarations have been introduced in the Customs Union. The new rules for completing customs declarations apply to legal entities and business entities presenting their goods for customs clearance. Thus, a unified structure for electronic copies has come into effect. Previously, each of the Customs Union countries had its own structure for customs declarations. Now, it is unified, completed and controlled according to common rules, and submitted in a single form, identical throughout the territory of all three Customs Union countries. The hotline has been organised to assist legal entities with customs clearance under the new rules.-0-
