TRANSPORT COMMUNICATIONS:

Lepel is connected by highways to the cities of Minsk, Vitebsk, Polotsk, Orsha, Ushachi, Dokshytsy, Chashniki, Borisov; it is the terminal point of the Orsha-Lepel railway branch, 130 km in length.

Republican roads with a length of 180.6 km run through the district (M-3 highway Minsk-Vitebsk; R-15 highway Krichev-Orsha-Lepel; R-46 highway Lepel-Polotsk-border of the Russian Federation (Yukhovichi); R86 highway Bogushevsk (from M-8/E95 highway) - Senno-Lepel-Myadel; R-114 highway Gorodok-Ulla-Kamen; R-116 highway Ushachi-Lepel). Road maintenance is carried out by the branch DEU No. 37 of RUP "Vitebskavtodor".

Local roads, with a length of 656.6 km, are maintained by the branch "Lepel DRSU-20" of KUP "Vitebskobludorstroy". The road network of local roads meets the needs of the Lepel district and ensures high-quality service of the transport infrastructure. In the agro-towns of the Lepel district, all roads have asphalt concrete pavement.

The city's arterial street network and the streets of the villages of the Lepel district are maintained by KUPP "Borovka". The total length of roads is 381.1 km, of which 200.1 km have asphalt pavement and 181.0 km have gravel pavement. The enterprise annually carries out current road surface repairs (pothole repair, grading).
