FAKES

The Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs warns: telephone scammers may impersonate law enforcement officers or bank employees. Under various pretexts, they persuade individuals to participate in a "special operation to expose scammers". To do this, they urge them to take out loans and transfer money to a "special secure account".

If you encounter a similar situation and receive messages or calls from unknown individuals claiming to be law enforcement officers, suggesting you take out a loan:

- do not give in to persuasion;

- do not disclose your confidential data;

- do not install any applications on your mobile phone or computer;

- do not grant access to already installed applications.

If you do become a victim of such scammers, immediately inform the internal affairs bodies by calling 102
