As part of the large-scale "Safe Holidays" campaign, employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations are conducting events in preschool educational institutions. Even at a preschool age, children can perfectly remember and even teach adults fire safety rules.
Rescuers held a thematic discussion with preschoolers dedicated to the basics of life safety, during which the boys and girls not only listened attentively but also enthusiastically answered the questions asked. The preschoolers strictly understood that matches are not a toy for children, and play areas must be safe.
During the classes, the children practiced calling emergency numbers "101" and "112" in a playful manner, learning how to correctly report an emergency situation and act in case of a fire, and also actively participated in the "Dangerous-Safe" game.
Children from kindergarten No. 8 in the town of Lepel were able to get a closer look at a fire truck, special equipment, and elements of rescuers' combat gear. The children tried on combat gear, breathed using a compressed air apparatus, and sat behind the wheel of a fire truck.
At the end of the event, the children received visual educational materials as gifts, which will remind them about safety.
