Today, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the authorised representative of the Head of State in the Vitebsk region, Igor Sergeenko, is working in Postavy District. The first item on his working agenda was a visit to the Postavy Central District Hospital. Here, together with the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, they familiarised themselves with the operation of the new building of the institution.
From 2023 to 2025, funded by the regional and republican budgets within the framework of the State Investment Programme, the project "Construction of a healthcare facility building with a connection to inpatient facility No. 1 of the Healthcare Institution 'Postavy CRH'" was implemented. This project allowed for the relocation of inpatient departments that were previously housed in the former Tyzenhaus Palace.
The constructed three-storey inpatient facility No. 2, with a new transformer and oxygen station, is connected by a heated single-storey passage to the existing inpatient facility No. 1. The total area of the facility exceeds 3400 m². The new building will house the surgical and neurological departments (20 beds each), as well as endoscopy, ultrasound, and functional diagnostics rooms, and other services.
