The game is virtual. The loss is real!

A negative trend is currently observed: children are increasingly falling victim to scammers in online games.

One of the most common fraud schemes is as follows:

A scammer in the chat of the online game "Minecraft", under the pretext of installing its free version and bonuses, offers a teenager to discuss the terms of the deal in a messenger. During the correspondence, the criminal finds out if the child uses "Apple" devices.

If the minor confirms this, they are offered to follow a provided link, disable protection, and install the application specified by the attacker. Thus, the teenager logs into someone else's Apple ID, thereby transferring control of their device to the scammer.

After that, the latter puts the gadget into lock mode, as a result of which the victim cannot use it. To unlock the gadget, the criminal will demand a monetary reward.

Kids! If you realize that you have been a victim of attackers, you must immediately:

Dear parents, you need to know what your child is doing on the Internet. It is important to teach children digital literacy and critical thinking.
