12 March, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Inflation in Belarus in February 2012 amounted to 1.5%, the National Statistical Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Thus, the consumer price index in February compared to January was 101.5%, and compared to December 2011 - 103.5%. In January, compared to December, the price index was 101.9%, and in December compared to November - 102.3%. The trend of slowing price growth continues to strengthen. Prices of industrial producers in February increased by 2.1% compared to the previous month, and by 4.2% compared to December of last year. In January, compared to December, they increased by 2.4%. In 2012, inflation in Belarus is planned at a level not exceeding 19-22%. -0-
