The defendants, previously not convicted, while intoxicated, in May 2018, as part of a group of persons by prior conspiracy, having pre-distributed the roles and responsibilities of each group member, with the intent to illegally extract fish in especially large quantities, without proper permission, during the fishing ban, in the dark, using a small vessel, during the catch, illegally extracted fish for a total amount of 17,801 rubles 70 kopecks, causing damage to the environment in especially large quantities.
Thus, a native resident of the village of Stary Lepel and a resident of Minsk, in May 2018, while intoxicated, during the prohibited time, in the dark, without proper permission, during the fishing ban, using 5 fishing nets, on a boat, using a homemade device for extracting fishing nets from the water, removed these 5 nets, put them in the boat and sailed to the shore, where they were detained by employees of the Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora.
Both during the preliminary investigation and during the judicial investigation, the resident of the village of Stary Lepel and the resident of Minsk fully admitted their guilt and sincerely repented.
The court of Lepel District found a resident of the village of Stary Lepel and a resident of Minsk guilty of fishing without a proper permit, during a prohibited period and time, using prohibited tools and methods, which resulted in damage of a particularly large scale. Based on Part 4 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, they were sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment and a fine equivalent to 52 base units. In accordance with Part 1 of Article 78 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the imposed primary sentence shall not be executed if, within 2 years, the resident of Stary Lepel and the resident of Minsk fulfill their imposed obligations and do not commit a new crime. In accordance with Part 5 of Article 78 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, each of them was assigned the obligation to perform socially useful work for 110 hours.

A previously convicted native of Lepel, having an unexpunged and unquashed conviction, in collusion and as part of a group with a resident of Lepel in late May 2018, were accused of, while in a state of alcoholic intoxication, intentionally and gratuitously seizing the victim's property from an outbuilding located in the yard of his house in Lepel. They stole a metal pipe and a homemade electric saw, causing the victim damage totaling 62 rubles and 50 kopecks, after which they fled the scene of the crime and disposed of the property as they saw fit.
Thus, in late May 2018, they were drinking alcohol together, and at the suggestion of the native of Lepel, they decided to steal a metal pipe from the victim, which was located in an outbuilding in the yard of his house. By breaking off boards, they gained access to the outbuilding, from where they stole a metal pipe and a homemade electric saw. The resident of Lepel sold the stolen pipe and bought alcohol with the proceeds. The next day, the native of Lepel sold the homemade electric saw to a man and also purchased alcohol and food.
Both during the preliminary investigation and during the court proceedings, the accused pleaded guilty and expressed sincere remorse.
By the verdict of the Lepel District Court, a native of Lepel was found guilty of committing secret property theft by a group of persons, repeatedly, and was sentenced to arrest for a term of 3 months. In accordance with Article 107 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, compulsory security measures and treatment for chronic alcoholism were applied at the place of serving the sentence.
By the verdict of the Lepel District Court, a resident of Lepel was found guilty of committing secret property theft by a group of persons, and was sentenced to arrest for a term of 2 months. In accordance with Article 107 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, compulsory security measures and treatment for chronic alcoholism were applied at the place of serving the sentence.
