A criminal case was considered against a native of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi, who committed a crime stipulated by Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

In late December 2018, while in a state of alcoholic intoxication, in the apartment of the victim K., a native of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi intentionally, out of mercenary motives, with the aim of subsequent theft of funds through the use of computer technology, secretly and unlawfully took possession of the victim K.'s plastic card. Subsequently, out of mercenary motives, not being the holder of this plastic card, he entered knowingly false information about the victim K.'s cardholder, namely the PIN code, as a result of which he gained unauthorized access to the information about the victim K.'s card account and withdrew money from the latter's card account. As a result of his criminal actions, the victim K. suffered damage totaling 198.40 Belarusian rubles.

Both during the preliminary investigation and the court investigation, the native of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi fully admitted his guilt and sincerely repented.

The court of Lepel District found the native of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi guilty of committing the crime stipulated by Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced him to a fine of 50 base units, without depriving him of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities. Based on Part 3 of Article 49 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, an additional punishment of 100 hours of community service was imposed.

This sentence of the Lepel District Court has entered into legal force.
