In late February 2019, a 20-year-old resident of the village of Maly Polsvizh entered the private property of the victim and stole various metal parts, a metal safe, and a bathtub, causing the victim damage totalling 320 Belarusian rubles. He stole the property for the purpose of further sale. The money obtained was spent on purchasing alcoholic beverages.
Both during the preliminary investigation and the court investigation, the resident of the village of Maly Polsvizh fully admitted his guilt and sincerely repented. The damage has been fully compensated.
The court of Lepel District found the resident of the village of Maly Polsvizh guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced him to 1 year of imprisonment. In accordance with Part 1 of Article 77 of the Criminal Code, the execution of the sentence was deferred for 1 year, provided that he does not commit a new crime during the deferral period and complies with the obligations imposed by the court.

In the autumn of 2018, the accused, aged [age not specified], was living with his acquaintance G. in Lepel. One day in November, while passing through the cemetery, he noticed that some graves had fences made of metal chains, and at that time decided that he could steal these chains. He decided to come for them at night or in the evening. He took a wheelbarrow for stealing the chains without permission from his acquaintance, with whom he was staying. Thus, he stole chains from several fences in the cemetery. He stole the chains from the cemetery alone, handed them in at a collection point, and spent the money on alcohol.
