In late June 2019, a resident of Lepel, while on Chuykov Street in Lepel, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, with the intent to threaten with murder and without the intent to kill, due to personal animosity arising from a quarrel over infidelity, grabbed the victim K., his former cohabitant, by the torso with one hand and, while holding her, verbally threatened her with murder, and then took an awl in the other hand, and continuing to hold the victim, pressed the point of the awl to her torso, realizing that the demonstration of the awl and verbal threats of murder caused the victim K. real fear for her life and health.
Both during the preliminary investigation and the court investigation, the resident of Lepel did not admit his guilt in committing the crime.
The court of Lepel District found the resident of Lepel guilty of committing a crime under Article 186 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced him to one year of restriction of liberty without being sent to an open-type correctional institution.
