Lepel District Executive Committee hereby informs about the results of the public consultation on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the object: "Construction of Forestry Road No. 1 in ELOH 'Barsuki', Vitebsk Region" (Client - State Environmental Institution "Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve".
The public consultation was conducted in accordance with the Regulation on the Procedure for Organising and Conducting Public Consultations on Environmentally Significant Decisions, Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, and Consideration of Adopted Environmentally Significant Decisions, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 14 June 2016 No. 458 (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation), in the form of public information dissemination from 1 September 2020 to 30 September 2020 inclusive.
The notification on the public consultation of the EIA report was published in the district newspaper "Lepelski Krai" on 4 September 2020, Issue No. 71 (111836). Furthermore, the notification, along with the electronic version of the EIA report for the object "Construction of Forestry Road No. 1 in ELOH 'Barsuki', Vitebsk Region", was posted on the official website of the Lepel District Executive Committee on the Internet at www. lepel.vitebsk-region.gov.by in the special section "Public Consultations".
The notification on the public consultation of the EIA report contained the necessary information in accordance with Clause 35, Chapter 4 of the Regulation, namely: contact information including postal and e-mail addresses, telephone and fax numbers where citizens and legal entities could submit comments and/or proposals on the EIA report to the public consultation organisers; deadlines for submitting comments and/or proposals; deadlines and procedure for submitting applications for the necessity of holding a meeting to discuss the EIA report; and also, information on the intention to conduct a public environmental review.
