26 February, Novopolotsk /BELTA/. A joint meeting of the united college of customs services of the Customs Union member states and the college of the Customs Committee of the Union State will be held today in Novopolotsk, the press service of the State Customs Committee of Belarus informed BELTA.

The seventh meeting of the united college of customs services of the Customs Union member states will focus on a block of issues concerning the improvement of customs legislation regulating the procedure for providing preliminary information, the organization of information interaction between the customs services of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, and the application of the TIR Convention when transporting goods across the territory of the Customs Union countries.

The meeting of the college of the Customs Committee of the Union State is planned to consider issues related to the optimization of the technology for the movement of goods between the Kaliningrad region and the rest of Russia and Belarus, and the Union State program "Development of Canine Services of the Customs Authorities of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation" for 2013-2016.

Additionally, a number of bilateral meetings are planned, one of which will include the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the customs service of Russia for the period of the Ice Hockey World Championship in Belarus in 2014.

The events will be attended by the heads of the customs services of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, the Minister of Eurasian Economic Commission for Customs Cooperation, and the leadership of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.-0-
