September 5, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Joint innovation platforms – associations of interest in technical and natural sciences and mathematics profiles will be created in Belarus. This project is planned to be implemented by the Ministries of Education and Communications and Informatization. The heads of these departments have signed a relevant cooperation agreement, according to a BELTA correspondent.

As noted during the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, the Minister of Communications and Informatization, Sergey Popkov, stated that so-called youth innovation platforms will be established in all regions based on educational institutions. The agreement will allow for the integration of resources and efforts of science, education, and production to develop the professional interests of students and youth in technical fields. "We will develop joint programs and projects aimed at motivating students to pursue education in specialties that are in demand in the fields of information technology, telecommunications, and industry, as well as subsequent employment in relevant organizations in Belarus," shared the Minister of Communications and Informatization.

"The main goal of such centers is to improve the quality of scientific, technical, innovation, and educational activities in the field of natural sciences (computer science, physics, radio electronics, robotics). Specialists will involve children and youth in the study of high technologies, create a system of career guidance work with students to develop their professional interests, a motivated choice of technical specialties, and their professional self-determination in relevant fields," noted the Minister of Education, Sergey Maskevich. Cooperation will be expressed in activities aimed at strengthening the practice-oriented, applied nature of education through various forms of educational process organization – clubs, social practices, distance learning, and project activities.

In the current conditions, scientific and technical creativity is the foundation of innovative activity, believes the Minister of Education. Therefore, the process of developing scientific and technical creativity is a crucial component of the education system. Creative work fosters a new attitude towards a profession. The objective of teaching schoolchildren the fundamentals of creative work is to awaken interest, and then to create and consolidate a creative attitude towards professional activity, which is expressed in active research, rationalization, and inventive activities. The structure of the first joint project includes two modules - "LEGO PARK" and "IT Academy". This includes ensuring equal access for children and youth to mastering advanced technologies, acquiring practical skills in robotics, and mastering scientific and technical design and modeling skills.
