Foreign investors are showing interest in establishing a holding company based at the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant, which will create a modern transport and logistics center. This was announced today at a press conference by Vadim Melnik, Director of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. Several foreign companies have approached Belarus, expressing their interest in participating in the project. One of them is Zaporizhzhya's "Motor Sich". "Motor Sich" is a very serious player; this major enterprise is respected worldwide," noted Vadim Melnik. "It is planned that this company will act as a parallel investor in the creation of the holding company." CJSC "Beltechexport" has been designated as the main investor of the project. The head of the Aviation Department added that the investor has already submitted a business plan, which has undergone preliminary examination. The document demonstrates the real potential of the project. "With proper planning and modernization, the enterprise will become quite successful," Vadim Melnik is confident. As previously reported, a transport and logistics center will be established at the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant. The construction of a modern warehouse terminal and office buildings, which will house customs services, a bank, and a leasing company, is also planned here. The project includes the construction of a hotel and a cafe for aircraft crews and road carriers. In the future, a leisure center may appear in the vicinity of the logistics center. The new transport and logistics center will be located at the intersection of the 2nd and 9th international transport corridors. The airfield, located near the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant, is capable of handling aircraft of almost all types, and railway tracks are also nearby. In the future, the new logistics center will be able to handle cargo flows from various countries, including China. Zaporizhzhya PJSC "Motor Sich" is one of the largest enterprises for the production of aircraft engines for airplanes and helicopters, as well as industrial gas turbine units.-0-
