The fur game hunting season is drawing to a close, ending on January 29. In this regard, the Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora once again reminds that, according to Part 4 of Article 16.27 of the Code of Administrative Offences: Carrying cartridges loaded with bullets or buckshot in hunting grounds while hunting for non-regulated game species, when carrying such cartridges is prohibited, except for cases where the weapon is loaded with such cartridges. This is punishable by a fine ranging from three to fifteen base units. In the same case, if the inspectorate officers discover prohibited cartridges in the barrels of smooth-bore hunting weapons on the hunter, liability will arise under Part 1 of the aforementioned article of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus. This entails the imposition of a fine ranging from ten to thirty base units with confiscation of shotguns, other hunting implements, and other items that served as the instrument or means of committing the specified violation, or without confiscation and with deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities; for an individual entrepreneur – from fifty to two hundred base units with confiscation of shotguns, other hunting implements, and other items that served as the instrument or means of committing the specified violation, or without confiscation; and for a legal entity – from three hundred to one thousand base units with confiscation of shotguns, other hunting implements, and other items that served as the instrument or means of committing the specified violation, or without confiscation.
