Investment in fixed assets and construction in Belarus in the first half of this year amounted to Br21.074 trillion, an increase of 4% in comparable prices compared to the same period in 2009. This was reported to BELTA by the National Statistical Committee. In January-June, construction and installation works in the republic were completed to the amount of Br10 trillion 901.5 billion, which is 11.1% more than in the same period of 2009. The commissioning of housing using all sources of financing for the specified period amounted to 3 million 248.6 thousand sq.m, which exceeded the level of January-June last year by 5.2%. In particular, 1 million 294.6 thousand sq.m of housing was built in rural settlements and small towns, an increase of 1.3% compared to January-June 2009. -0-
