March 14, Minsk /BELTA/. Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev and Deputy Executive Secretary of the UNECE Andrey Vasilyev signed a cooperation statement in Moscow today, BELTA was informed by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The document specifies areas of cooperation, as well as forms of interaction and events for joint participation. In particular, areas of cooperation of mutual interest include environmental protection, energy, transport, innovation, forestry, housing construction, as well as issues of foreign trade and statistics.
The CIS Executive Committee and the UNECE Secretariat, based on mutual agreement, will hold consultations at an agreed level, joint conferences, seminars, and working meetings. It is also envisaged to exchange official documents of a non-confidential nature, informational and reference materials, regulatory legal acts, methodological recommendations, and other information of mutual interest. In addition, the statement provides for the possibility of planning and coordinating joint events, as well as, by mutual consent, sending representatives of the parties to participate in them.-0-
