28 December, Vitebsk region /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The parameters of the forecast for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2012 are realistic, and their implementation will contribute to the implementation of the demographic security program. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets.
In his opinion, social support for families, increasing the birth rate, and reducing mortality are the key to the successful development of the state.
In 2012, the Vitebsk region will allocate about 60% (more than Br5.4 trillion) of the consolidated budget to the development of the social sphere. Significant funding is allocated to education and healthcare, 26% and 23% respectively. It is envisaged, in particular, to allocate over Br300 billion for the financing of construction, reconstruction and repair of more than 80 healthcare facilities, including those located in Polotsk, Novopolotsk, Miory, Sharkovshchina. Budget expenditures on education include financing the construction of secondary schools in Vitebsk and Sennensky district, a swimming pool in Novolukoml, kindergartens in district centers, a dormitory for students in the regional center, as well as the purchase of school buses and computer classes. The budget provides for expenditures on the completion of the construction of the ice palace in Orsha, the commissioning of a health center in Dokshitsy, the reconstruction of the stadium in Glubokoye, and the equipping of the rowing center in Polotsk.
"The region has allocated the necessary funds in the budget to surround children with attention, care and warmth, to create material benefits for them. All resources for this are available," emphasized Alexander Kosinets.-0-
