Six servicemen of the Belarusian army have successfully passed the tests for the right to wear the badge "Valor and Skill", a BELTA correspondent reports from the training ground of the 103rd Guards Separate Mobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, where the combat tests were held. 31 servicemen applied for this honorary badge. For four days, they demonstrated theoretical knowledge, physical and combat training. Nominees parachuted, made forced marches, had to navigate in unfamiliar terrain, compile a topographic map, and even provide self-medical assistance. Each candidate had an individual task. Only six people reached the final, seventh stage. All of them successfully passed combat firing, a four-kilometer obstacle course, and each of them withstood a three-minute fight against three opponents. According to the regulations on awarding the badge "Valor and Skill", it will be presented based on the order of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. The tests were monitored by members of the CSTO Permanent Council, who were familiarizing themselves with the training system for servicemen in the 103rd Mobile Brigade. As Vadim Denisenko, Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus, told a BELTA correspondent, the tests are based on the combat traditions of special forces, airborne troops, and reconnaissance units. "Their main goal is not to demonstrate physical skill, but to instill the ability to think and make adequate decisions," he stressed. These tests show the level of personal training of a serviceman. Among the contenders for the award were officers, a warrant officer, and, to Vadim Denisenko's particular delight, five cadets from the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus. Despite having to compete with combat officers, they proved themselves well, and one of the cadets was among those who will be awarded the "Valor and Skill" badge.
