The Italian aerobatic team "Frecce Tricolori", after a spectacular performance in honour of the centenary of the Russian Air Force in Zhukovsky, staged an impromptu show over Vitebsk Airport today, a BELTA correspondent reports. The aerial aces on ten MB-339 light attack aircraft are refuelling at Vitebsk International Airport, Sergey Ruris, head of the Vitebsk branch of the Republican Unitary Enterprise for Aeronautical Air Traffic Services "BelAeroNгация", explained to a BELTA correspondent. Despite the transit nature of the flight, the pilots performed several aerobatic manoeuvres, thereby expressing their gratitude to the airport services for their work. Dacha residents from nearby settlements also became spectators of the improvised show. According to them, "the spectacle was stunningly beautiful". Vitebsk, on the eve of the centenary of the first aircraft landing, which was made in the city by the famous Pyotr Nesterov in 1914, may find the experience of interacting with foreign pilots very useful. Currently, charter, domestic, international, passenger and cargo flights are operated through Vitebsk Airport, and air traffic in the airport's vicinity is serviced.
