As reported, the procedure for transferring census documentation on paper media for permanent storage was excluded in order to save budget funds.
When developing amendments and additions, law enforcement practice, the experience of national statistical services of other states, and appeals from citizens and state bodies were taken into account.
The Council of Ministers, together with the National Statistical Committee, will bring legislative acts into compliance with the updated law within a six-month period. It mainly enters into force after official publication.
The next population census in Belarus is scheduled for 2019.
