Approximately one hundred people will attend the ceremony – fighters, commanders, and commissars of student teams from the Vitebsk region, as well as representatives of the region's authorities, enterprise managers, and veterans of the movement. "The best student team fighters of the Vitebsk region will participate in the 'Looking Through the Years' intergenerational meeting. In the year of the 55th anniversary of this movement in Belarus, Boris Ryklin, an eight-time commander of zonal team headquarters, and Vyacheslav Makarevsky, the first commissar of an outbound construction team to Kazakhstan in 1963, will come to communicate and discuss the modern team movement with the youth. The event will conclude with an off-site laser tag championship among the best student teams of the region," the regional committee of the youth organisation reported.
During the work semester in the Vitebsk region, approximately 5.2 thousand people worked as part of construction, agricultural, pedagogical, environmental, and service student teams. The youth participated in work at the All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project, in the construction of socially significant facilities in the region, were involved in landscaping, and worked in health resorts. Furthermore, in 2018, for the first time in the last 10 years, student team members from the Vitebsk region travelled to Moldova to work in an agricultural team, and young people also worked in Russia.
