The final meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Culture Department continued with a plenary session.

Here, representatives of the sector summed up the results of their work for 2024, outlined the tasks for the current year, and shared their work experience.

The meeting was attended by Marina Yurkevich, Head of the Education Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Petr Podgursky, Head of the Culture Department of the Regional Executive Committee, Veronika Khombak, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, and Elena Sabyrova, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Workers of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism.

Marina Yurkevich, Head of the Education Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, addressing personnel policy issues, noted that true professionals work in the culture sector. However, at the same time, it is important not to forget about attracting young specialists to cultural institutions.

Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, thanked the cultural workers and noted: — Your work is not only about entertaining the citizens of our region, but also about education, especially for young people. It is also important to pay attention to tourism. Each district has its own unique feature, which needs to be identified and actively used to attract tourists, — emphasized Vyacheslav Durnov.
