Notice of the commencement of the development of the urban planning project of special planning "Scheme of green areas of general use of the city of Lepel" and the conduct of a pre-project study (online survey) to study residents' proposals for the development of green areas

The Lepel District Executive Committee hereby announces the commencement of the development of a town-planning project of special planning "Scheme of Green Areas of General Use of the city of Lepel" (hereinafter referred to as the Scheme).

The Lepel District Executive Committee hereby announces the commencement of the development of a town-planning project of special planning "Scheme of Green Areas of General Use of the city of Lepel" (hereinafter referred to as the Scheme).

The purpose of developing the Scheme is to create a database of green areas of general use (parks, public gardens, boulevards, forest parks) for the regulation of town-planning activities within the city of Lepel and to ensure public access to green areas of general use.

Project objectives:

-survey and compilation of a list of green areas of general use;

-calculation of the provision of green areas of general use for the population, taking into account the projected population;

-compilation of a plan for green areas of general use;

-establishment of town-planning regulations (restrictions) for the use of green areas of general use, taking into account the regulations (restrictions) of the current master plan of the city of Lepel.

The Scheme will contain information on the name (if any), location, boundaries, area, and balance of the green areas of general use included therein, and the organisations responsible for the maintenance of the green areas of general use. The project will determine which green areas of general use are parks, public gardens, boulevards, natural parks, and dendrological parks.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On State Environmental Expertise, Strategic Environmental Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment", public discussions of the environmental report on strategic environmental assessment will also be held.

All proposals will be considered by the Department of Architecture and Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the District Executive Committee, as well as
UP "BELNIIGRADOSTROITELSTVA" when making design decisions for the Scheme in order to improve the system of green spaces of the city.
