"I see with my heart"

An exhibition of photo works by Siarhei Martynovich is taking place at the central district library. A series of original works, reflecting vivid life episodes, are united under the title "I See with My Heart".

An exhibition of photo works by Siarhei Martynovich is taking place at the central district library. A series of original works, reflecting vivid life episodes, are united under the title "I See with My Heart".

Siarhei was born in Lepel. His passion for photography came to him in his youth. He took his first photos with an "Orion" camera, which required special skills to operate. Siarhei developed and printed his own films. The "Yunost" enlarger, once used by the young photographer, still reminds Siarhei of the beginnings of his creative journey. Although his profession was not related to art, he never parted with photography. After finishing school, he obtained a driver's qualification at the Lepel DOSAAF Driving School and worked as a mechanic for seven years at OJSC "Autotransport Enterprise No. 14".

Currently, Siarhei is not working due to poor eyesight. He is a member of the Lepel District Organisation of the Public Association "Belarusian Society of the Visually Impaired". The artist gladly participates in various competitions and creative events organised by the association. Siarhei Martynovich's striking works have repeatedly been featured in an original exhibition prepared at the premises of the Territorial Centre for Social Services to the Population.

Visitors to the exhibition expressed their admiration for Siarhei Martynovich's creative work. His mother, Liudmila Uladzimirauna, conveyed warm wishes to the photographer and presented him with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Alena Pamiatsikha, head of the day care unit for disabled people at the TCCSP, a fan of Siarhei's work, shared her impressions. Volha Sakalovskaya, his wife, congratulated the artist wholeheartedly and presented him with a commemorative gift. Together with sincere congratulations, librarian Alina Fiodarava presented the photographer with a book about the Lepel district as a memento of the exhibition.

Guests of the exhibition lingered in the library foyer for a long time, gazing with interest at the vivid works. Each of them contains a piece of the photographer's soul and heart. At first glance, the simple subjects, born in nature, are familiar and understandable to everyone – they are perceived and reflected by the photographer's heart.
