The festival will start on September 20 with a master class "Aikido - the path to spiritual harmony," which will take place at the BNTU sports complex. The grand opening of the festival will be held the next day at the National Art Museum of Belarus. Here, the exhibition "Photo Images and Materials: Japanese Graphics of the 1970s" will open.
The museum will be handed over equipment purchased under the Japanese government program "Grass Roots and Human Security Grant Assistance for Projects in the Field of Culture and Sports": a 3D scanner and a 3D printer for creating copies of exhibits, a set of audio guides with a screen for displaying text in sign language, and a stair climber for people with disabilities.
In Minsk, Grodno, Gomel, and Borisov, a series of cultural events dedicated to various aspects of traditional and modern Japanese culture will be held over three months.
Numerous lectures and master classes, concerts and film screenings, exhibitions and sports competitions, and much more await the festival guests. Japanese musicians and artists, masters of tea ceremony, ikebana, karate, and aikido will visit Belarus during these months.
