– Our safety is in our own hands; at today's event, you will gain not only useful knowledge but also a lot of vivid emotions, – said Igor Gennadievich Urban, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, as he opened the event.

A venue was set up on the central square of Lepel town, where the main prevention entities informed about safety rules.

Lepel rescuers traditionally set the tone for the safety event. Participants of the event enthusiastically solved riddles, deciphered words, answered questions in mini-quizzes, and practiced calling rescuers. Many people were eager to try themselves as rescuers, sitting in the cabin of a fire engine and trying on the combat uniform of a rescuer. The demonstration performances by the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, during which they showcased the capabilities of equipment used in road traffic accidents, also evoked many emotions.

Law enforcement officers, who were simultaneously reminding of important rules, offered participants a chance to feel like police officers.

Employees of the Lepel Gas Supply Department demonstrated the safety of gas use in households, natural and carbon monoxide gas detectors, and the capabilities of their equipment. The energy supervision site urged attendees to observe rules when using electrical appliances.

The venue of the central district hospital also attracted participants of the campaign, where medics demonstrated how to properly perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a special simulator.

Meanwhile, culture employees organised a small festive concert. All participants of the event gained not only useful knowledge but also a boost of good mood!
