The campaign was initiated by the public association "Belarusian Women's Union" and is timed to coincide with Defender of the Fatherland Day and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

The "Mom's Pies" marathon is being held in our country for the fourth time and is involving an increasing number of participants each year. Today, representatives of the Belarusian Women's Union delivered fragrant homemade baked goods to military unit 22313.

Activists from the primary organisations of the Belarusian Women's Union of the district executive committee, the centre for ensuring the activities of budget organisations, the "Lepel MKC" branch, the "Zhemchuzhina" centre, as well as CB No. 219 in Lepel of OJSC "Belagroprombank" joined the marathon.

Homemade pies with jam and fragrant buns, original pastries and muffins with fillings – the tables were laden with treats today, and the sweet aroma of vanilla and cinnamon was reminiscent of home.

"It is a pleasure for the representatives of the Belarusian Women's Union to visit the servicemen on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day and give them a piece of warmth, to delight them with delicious pies. It is gratifying that our campaign is becoming more and more large-scale every year," noted Veronika Khombak, chairperson of the district organisation of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union".

The leader of the women's movement in the Lepel region thanked the participants of the campaign, urging them to remain just as caring, to create and give people care and joy. Words of gratitude were addressed to the servicemen for the worthy fulfilment of their military and civic duty.

The warm meeting between the representatives of the Belarusian Women's Union and the servicemen was accompanied by a concert.
