How to complete a European accident statement (Europrotocol) following a road traffic accident?
With the deterioration of weather conditions, road traffic accidents (RTAs) that do not result in serious consequences often occur.
An RTA can be registered using the European protocol if:
- no harm to life or health has been caused; - only two vehicles are involved in the RTA; - no damage has been caused to property other than the vehicles; - both RTA participants have their vehicles insured; - the drivers involved in the incident have the right to drive vehicles; - the amount of damage caused does not exceed 800 euros for each participant; - the RTA participants have no disagreements regarding the circumstances of the incident; - the persons driving the vehicles are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs; - the party at fault for the RTA admits their guilt.
The most important circumstance is that all these conditions must be met without exception, and the notification must be filled out correctly, contain no contradictory statements, and be signed by both RTA participants, as well as be easily readable and undamaged.
