As part of the Unified Information Day, the Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Mikhail Kiselevich, addressed the staff of the district executive committee today. In his speech, the head of the district noted that security is a systemic and priority task in our country. It is important to talk about this with specific examples, to be vigilant, and under no circumstances to fall for the tricks of fraudsters, by verifying the information received.
An information and propaganda group of the district executive committee, led by the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Veronika Khombak, visited the staff of Kindergarten No. 2. During the event, the participants discussed topical security issues in modern conditions. Special attention was paid to digital literacy and the prevention of cybercrimes – common internet fraud schemes, rules for safe online behavior, and methods for protecting personal data. They also recalled how to recognize the actions of intruders, why it is impossible to share confirmation codes, click on suspicious links, and trust calls from unknown persons. The personal safety, well-being of society, and sustainable development of the state directly depend on the level of knowledge, responsibility, and awareness of each citizen.
The Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Nikolay Latyshev, met with the staff of the Lepel Telecommunication Section of "Beltelecom". Nikolay Viktorovich emphasized: "The state is doing everything possible for security – from the work of the traffic police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations to preventive campaigns, but the final result depends on each of us." He specifically noted that in matters of protecting children from cyber threats and road accidents, a significant part of the responsibility lies with the family. No service can monitor a child better than their own parents, if they not only forbid but also teach, explain, and set a personal example. The meeting was held in a live dialogue format. Employees asked questions, shared everyday situations, and consulted on how to act correctly in certain cases.
An information group, led by Vyacheslav Masharo, Deputy Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee, met today with the staff of the "Lepel" railway station. In his speech, Vyacheslav Masharo noted that our safety depends largely on ourselves, on how we observe the established rules and what we teach our children. The theme of the unified information day was supported by Ivan Vaytekhovsky, Senior Operative Officer of the Cybercrime Counteraction Unit of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs, Elena Belskaya, Head of the Civil Registry Office of the District Executive Committee, and Natalia Pobortseva, Epidemiologist of the Lepel Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology. Memoranda with rules of conduct in emergency situations were also handed out to those present at the meeting.
Igor Urban, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, visited the "Svetlitsa" 24-hour care unit for the elderly and disabled of the Lepel District Territorial Center for Social Services. The central theme of the meeting was life safety: from protection in the digital space to compliance with elementary rules on the road and in everyday life. Igor Urban emphasized that safety begins with each of us. Seemingly simple issues, but they determine the level of societal security: where we swim, whether we cross the street correctly, how we charge smartphones and other household appliances. The speaker paid special attention to threats in the online space. Cyber threats affect all segments of the population and all age groups, but children are particularly vulnerable. During the meeting, attendees had the opportunity to ask speakers questions and receive clarifications on pressing issues.
Natalia Zhurba, First Secretary of the District Committee of the Belarusian National Youth Union "BRSM", met today with a student work crew operating at the Lepel Forestry. The youth leader noted that the summer period brings not only the joy of holidays, the opportunity to sunbathe and swim, but also high risks for young people. Dangers can lurk in both real and virtual spaces: on roads, near water bodies, on the street, as well as on the internet. Natalia Zhurba wished the young people not only to work diligently and earn their first money, but also to have a good rest and gain strength for the new academic year.
The Unified Information Day was held in organizations of the Lepel district. The main topic was safety and rules of conduct in emergency situations. The issues of preventing cybercrimes, accidents on water, in forests, and when handling fire have always been and will remain relevant. Specialists from relevant services and departments (ROChS, ROVD, OSVOD, etc.) were also sent to the workforces today.
