Who are our young mothers?

Curious statistics for 2025 from the Civil Registry Office for Mother's Day.

In 2025, 117 women from Lepel became mothers. 38 women experienced motherhood for the first time, almost equally – 33 and 32 mothers had their second and third children in the family, 9 mothers gave birth to their fourth child, and three mothers welcomed their fifth child. And two of our mothers are record-holders: they gave birth to their sixth and eighth child respectively!!

Incidentally, over the last 30 years in the Lepel district, only two families have dared to have eight children.

The majority were girls – 74, and boys – only 43. Twins were born in three families.

The average age of mothers is 29 years. The youngest mother is 15 years old, and the most "experienced" is 43 years old.

The most popular female names in 2025 were Sofia and Eva, while the most common male names were Timofey and Mark.
