Holidays without smoke and fire

During the holiday period, the risk of fires caused by children’s carelessness with fire significantly increases.

During the holiday period, the risk of fires caused by children’s carelessness with fire significantly increases. To prevent such emergencies, child fatalities and injuries, and to conduct educational work on life safety with the younger generation, a preventive campaign "Holidays without Smoke and Fire" is underway in the district. To organise children's leisure activities, summer camps will open in Lepel District, where employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be frequent guests. The main goal of the rescuers is to prevent emergencies caused by children’s carelessness with fire, as well as child fatalities at water bodies. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Belarusian Voluntary Society for the Rescue of Persons on Water (OSVOD) will conduct preventive talks, quizzes on life safety, and show thematic and educational films to the children. Staff and duty personnel will undergo training on fire safety rules and actions in case of a fire.
