Tubes and "vatrushkas" (inflatable snow tubes) are one of the most popular winter pastimes. However, it sometimes happens that children do not sled in designated areas but near roadways. In such cases, they may accidentally slide onto the road and become involved in traffic accidents.
Adhering to the following rules will help ensure your safety:
- Always check the tube's specifications, including the maximum permissible weight.
- Ensure there are no other sledders in your path.
- Always ride in a seated position. Riding on your stomach or knees is dangerous.
- Always check the condition of the tube.
- There should be no debris, ice, or other foreign objects between the inner tube and the cover.
- The inner tube should be well-inflated and not deformed.
- When choosing a slope for sledding, make sure it is far from the roadway.
