On July 25, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Committee for State Control has established facts of low-quality harvesting of rapeseed, grain and leguminous crops, as well as excessive losses of oilseeds and grain by harvesters, a BELTA correspondent was informed at the region's control department. As of July 24, 20 out of 21 districts in the region, except for Liozno District, had started harvesting grain and leguminous crops. On this date, grain and leguminous crops had been harvested on an area of 4.1 thousand hectares, which is 0.8% of the planned area. 13.9 thousand tons of grain were threshed with an average yield of 34.2 centners per hectare. Last year, by this date, grain and leguminous crops had been harvested on 8.4% of the areas. The Regional Committee for State Control studied the situation with the readiness of the material and technical base and the progress of the harvest in six agricultural organizations in Tolochin and Orsha districts and established facts of low-quality harvesting of cruciferous, grain and leguminous crops, as well as excessive losses of oilseeds and grain by harvesters. For example, at JSC "Kohanovo-Agro" in Tolochin District, on the day of the inspection, five harvesters were harvesting winter rapeseed in one of the tracts on an area of 13 hectares. One harvester was found to be causing excessive losses of oilseeds, approximately 0.2 centners per hectare. At the request of the Committee for State Control employees, the harvester was stopped, and the cover of the chamber, which was causing the losses, was sealed. At JSC "SGC "Zadneprovsky" in Orsha District, winter wheat was being harvested on an area of 153 hectares on the day of the inspection, with lodged grain sections present. However, only 6 out of 11 harvesters were equipped with a full set of stalk lifters. It was established that two harvesters were causing excessive grain losses. Due to the fact that they were operating at a high cut with an incomplete set of stalk lifters on the lodged wheat sections, they were causing excessive grain losses of approximately 0.6 centners per hectare in uncut ears. In addition, control and analytical measures showed that the actual readiness of harvesters and grain cleaning and drying complexes in some of the inspected farms was low, and some farms lacked a sufficient fuel supply. -0-
