At the correctional facility, he will assess the physical fitness of the inmates, Kirill told a BelTA correspondent. The inmates will demonstrate their talents in lifting unconventional weights: logs, stones, suitcases, truck tires, and other equipment used in "Strongman" competitions. It is planned that about 30 inmates will participate in the competitions in various categories. It is noteworthy that most of the equipment for the exercises was made by the inmates themselves. Kirill Shimko is not visiting the colony for amusement: the athlete would like to influence the convicts, to show by personal example what can be achieved by leading a healthy lifestyle. The Guinness World Record holder and participant of the American "Super Series" strongest men tournament will perform his strongman feats, including tearing an iron chain, twisting a frying pan, and tying nails into knots. Kirill Shimko is a famous Belarusian strongman. Together with his partner Pavel Soroka, he moved a five-wagon train, and then the athletes pulled an Il-76 aircraft weighing 150 tons for more than three meters. In 2009, he set his most famous record, which was included in the Guinness Book of Records – together with Pavel Soroka, he managed to move a T-34 tank weighing 30 tons 900 kg by 5.1 meters.
