The measures being taken in Belarus to financially rehabilitate agricultural enterprises are yielding positive results. This was stated to journalists by Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov, who is on a working visit to the Vitebsk region, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
Andrei Kobyakov visited several enterprises in Glubokoye, where he was briefed on the progress of implementing decrees on the financial rehabilitation of processing and agricultural organizations. The Prime Minister noted that such trips to the regions, meetings with local authorities and enterprise managers, are primarily related to assessing the results of implementing decrees aimed at improving the financial and economic condition of agricultural enterprises. The Vitebsk region was among the first to be covered by such decrees; agroholdings have been established here, and the first results can already be summarised. "Using the example of the meat processing plant and the dairy and canning factory, we are assessing how the application of the decrees has affected the economic condition of the enterprises, their ability to ensure timely settlements with enterprises in the raw material zone, and their prospects for participating in the development of these raw material zones," he said.
"The initial stage has shown that the implementation of these documents yields positive results," stressed Andrei Kobyakov. "If previously the discussion was about simply ensuring the current operations of enterprises, today the conversation is different. Profit concentration points are being formed, and we are discussing how to use this profit to influence the raw material zones, to affect the development of agricultural enterprises that are in a difficult situation. These agricultural producers have a real prospect of embarking on the path of recovery on a sound economic basis, without any financing unrelated to performance results."
"Macroeconomic stabilization is being ensured in our country, inflationary processes are subsiding, and interest rates on loans, although slower than we would like, are decreasing. In these conditions, we are finding ways to influence the improvement of the financial condition of enterprises. And all of this together will lead to healthy economic growth without any negative fluctuations," Andrei Kobyakov concluded.
