September 10, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova met with the heads of district executive committees to discuss the socio-economic development of the regions and a number of normative legal acts, BelTA reports.
"We fully understand that normative legal acts must be absolutely clearly verified. There should be not just the vision of ministers or professionals dealing with a particular issue, but also an argued assessment from those who will implement them on the ground," Natalya Kochanova noted. "This will be a frank conversation. I would like to hear your opinion as heads of local authorities on whether it is correct to adopt certain decisions proposed today by some ministries and departments, making amendments and additions to the decrees of the President."
The meeting will also discuss issues of social development and the activities of districts in various areas. Such meetings with the heads of local executive authorities are held regularly in the Council of the Republic.
