The development of small towns directly depends on providing people with jobs, decent wages, and housing. This is particularly important for large families. This opinion was expressed by the Head of the Belarus President Administration, Natalya Kochanova, today in Braslav at a meeting of the district executive committee when reviewing the socio-economic development results of the district for the first half of the year, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
In the Braslav district, 67 large families require housing improvements. Currently, the timeframe for them to build housing using preferential funds is too long, believes Natalya Kochanova. She noted that the President Administration always responds positively to all proactive proposals from local areas aimed at improving the housing provision situation. "Feel free to reach out, we are always ready to discuss these issues. After all, the development of small towns depends on providing people with housing, jobs, and decent wages," emphasized Natalya Kochanova.
The Head of the President Administration drew special attention from leaders at all levels to their attitude towards the assigned workload. "Everything depends on the leader by 99%. Under identical economic conditions in the country, the situation is completely different. Where people work effectively, there is a result. Success belongs to those who want and strive to work," Natalya Kochanova is confident. "And I will repeat once again, one must listen carefully to the President. Take as an example the recent visit of the Head of State to Kostyukovichi or last year to a farm in the Mogilev region and think about what is happening in your own enterprise. Every leader must be aware of and bear responsibility for their people and the order at the facility, and the efficiency of work."
According to Natalya Kochanova, the attitude towards people, regular meetings of local leaders with the population, timely informing about current issues, and providing assistance in resolving pressing problems are also of key importance. "It is important to hear a person, to help them solve a pressing everyday problem, to treat them humanely. Then people will treat you accordingly," said the Head of the President Administration.
For 2019, the target for the construction and commissioning of total residential housing area in the Braslav district is almost 9.7 thousand sq.m, including 7.6 thousand sq.m through individual developers. For January-July of this year, the commissioning of individual housing construction amounted to about 2 thousand sq.m, or 26% of the annual target.
