Despite a decrease in the number of road traffic accidents (hereinafter referred to as RTAs) involving motor transport (from 12 to 9), as well as the severity of their consequences in the region, high-profile RTAs involving motorcyclists still occur.
For example, on 18.07.17 at 17:20, Lashkin A.V., driving a "Java 350" motorcycle with state registration number 0534VTE, travelling along Kommunalnaya Street, the village of Gorshchevshchina, Tolochinsky District, while in a state of alcoholic intoxication, lost control and collided with a roadside tree. As a result of the RTA, the passenger Voronovich V.N. died at the scene from the injuries sustained, and the driver was injured. At the same time, neither the driver nor the passenger used motorcycle helmets.
Equipped with powerful engines, modern motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds are capable of high speeds. And some of their owners, clearly abusing the capabilities of the machine, forget that it is much more difficult to stop a motorcycle than a car. Hence the road accidents. The ability to choose speed, distance, and manoeuvre while observing safety conditions are the main qualities required of a motorcyclist. Apparently, all this is understood by motorcycle owners until they get behind the wheel. As soon as the engine starts, all good intentions evaporate from their minds. One has to wonder how some of them manage to avoid an accident.
Dear motorcyclists! You have got on a motorcycle, now your fate is in your own hands. First of all, you need to get used to observing the traffic rules: 90% of your safety depends on compliance with the rules, both in physical and legal aspects.
The main reasons for road traffic accidents involving two-wheeled vehicles are driving without a license and driving skills, and riding a faulty "iron horse" that has not passed technical inspection. Every third accident is committed by motorcyclists who are in a state of intoxication. According to accident analysis, road traffic accidents are committed, and unfortunately, young people aged 16 to 25 often die in them, carelessly hoping that bad things can happen to anyone but them. Due to their youth and lack of experience, many neglect basic road safety rules.
The State Automobile Inspectorate once again appeals to all adults, including parents: if you witness a teenager about to ride a motorcycle in violation of safety rules, prevent this trip! Only through joint
efforts can we prevent tragedies and stop young, healthy people full of strength and energy from leaving our lives!
